Bluegill Lakehouse is a fantastically remodeled Lake Lure lakefront home with modern touch and well-appointed interior. It is ideal for a romantic getaway or just a quiet, peaceful escape (sorry, no four-legged guests). This home is 1.7 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, 2.5 miles to Chimney Rock State Park entrance, and 17 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) home to this years World Equestrian Games!
Upon entering there is a wonderful crisp clean feel as you walk through to a nice living area and kitchen that opens up to a large covered and screened porch with dining table and beautiful lake views!
There is a king size bed in one bedroom and two queens in the second bedroom. There is a full bath off the living area between the two bedrooms.
The dock at lakeside is a great place to sit and dangle your feet in the water or bring your boat for use on the lake (contact lake Lure for boating regulations and permits). This home does have a canoe and two kayaks for your use.
Lake Lure Beauty Year Round
This home is perfect for every season. In spring the bushes and trees on the shady wooded lot and down the long drive will begin filling with leaves. Summer weather in the area is great most of the time. Autumn brings plenty of visitors to the area for the extraordinary colors. They are even more beautiful when reflected on the lake. With the absence of leaves on the trees in winter, you will see entirely new landscapes. Enjoy the warmth of the outdoor heat lamp during the colder months.
Plus, the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area and surrounding communities have so much to offer including restaurants, shopping, and fun outdoor adventures you and your loved ones will never forget. See the Amenities and Notes for just a sampling of what is available.

Very nice team and responsive. Staff and service was excellent, nice rental property and location.
We wish there were more restaurants and businesses open but that's not your fault at all. We totally enjoyed the stay. As a suggestion, make a video for people to watch that explains things around the cabin, where things are, what is and is not working (like the fireplace) and where Ingles market is and what restaurants are in the area etc.

Everything is pretty self-explanatory. The only time I needed to call them they answered immediately. There was no wait time and thats all you can ask for.
It was an absolute wonderful experience! Five stars across-the-board. I really loved how the upstairs was fully renovated but the downstairs you still got a feel for that old home. I would highly recommend this house for a couples retreat, family getaway, or just to get away from the noise.

Thank you for answering my calls post lightning strike when we were trying to figure out the WiFi.
Loved the house. Its much bigger than the pictures make it appear. Road noise and narrow driveway entry were only negatives. Home was lovely. Just what we needed. Might want to advertise the road noise so people know. I also suggest taking down the stone pillars at the top of the driveway to widen the entry.

Bluegill Lakehouse is BEAUTIFUL! We would definitely return. I loved all of the finishes, decor, etc. Plenty of storage for our things and all appliances worked great. Beds were comfortable. The screened in porch was AMAZING! We also really enjoyed the use of the kayaks and canoe!

Prompt and friendly communication (all by email and text). Extremely clean cottage. We felt very safe, even during COVID-19. Clear expectations and instructions for guests. Easy and private check-in and check-out process.
Beautiful home RIGHT on the lake. Easiest lake access I have ever encountered. Beautiful docks and lakeside, screened-in porch. We had fun using the kayaks that were provided. Great swimming off the dock. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare the food we brought with us.

We loved staying at this lake house on Lake Lure. Great location, easy access (except sharp turn to get in driveway) but manageable. Beautifully renovated home with wonderful amenities. Brought our boat and loved docking it right at the house. Will return soon!

I know y'all were busy with the hurricane and all the evacuated people and last minute vacation changes. That was use. Had a planned trip to the beach. Thanks for finding us the perfect house and perfect location. Y'all were willing to take as much time as I need to answer questions. I already posted picks from our trip and the house. A few friends have already asked for details. I have them the house name and your website.
The remodel on the house was amazing. The before and after book was a great feature. The bluegill house had very comfortable beds and great linens. A well stocked kitchen. Great appliances. Washer and dryer downstairs. A incredible DVD library. The house is on a very quiet part of a cove with some highway noise. Few boats came through while on the water. Inflatable boat, canoe, kayak and life jackets included. It truly felt like home. Very kid friendly. Small table, kids dishes, kids movies, games, potty seat already there. Already planning a girls trip and possible a family trip but we need a larger house.

I'm very impressed that when I called the office on my first morning to report that the coffee carafe was broken, the woman offered to bring one out asap, but said there was a spare coffee pot on site if that would suffice. It did and I am impressed with that kind of planning, preparation, and responsiveness. Carolina Properties were very responsive to my questions and being flexible. I also think they must have a great team to make sure the houses are as described, that cleaning and maintenance is done well.
Would definitely stay at Bluegill House again! Loved the house: fantastic renovation w open welcoming spaces; great screen porch (where we spent most of our time if we weren't out in the water, at the dock, or out exploring); quiet cove; access to family kayaks, canoe, and floaties.

It was the most relaxing vacation we have had in quite some time!! The most beautiful view from an incredible screened in porch. We fished and swam to our hearts content. The beds were so very comfortable and the decor was inspirational. We were impressed by the history of this beautiful lake house and we are grateful that the owners chose to share their piece of paradise with us. We will return again to make more wonderful memories.
