Breathtaking Splendor with Mountain Blessings
There is a saying that automatically brings this home to mind: Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away. The splendor of this mountain escape is boundless and breathtaking! You will literally be sitting above it all with spectacular views of the Hickory Nut Gorge and Chimney Rock.

Guests have called the views therapeutic. This is a retreat you will not want to leave. When you do, it is one you and your family (four-legged family members welcome) will long to return to again and again.  no matter the season. Mountain Blessings is only 5.5 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, 5 miles to Chimney Rock State Park entrance, and 24 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).

A Therapeutic Recharge
Whether it is to get away for a long weekend or week long vacation, just relax on the covered front porch of Mountain Blessings and you will feel your stress melt away. Pictures cannot capture the beauty and feel of the mountains surrounding this home. Inside the stone fireplace will give an instant feeling of warmth and comfort. Just imagine relaxing in front of a blazing fire. You can dine indoors or on the screened porch, this is also a perfect spot for your morning coffee or tea.

With All the Comforts of Home
With three spacious bedrooms, and two (2) full baths, there is ample room for seven (6) guests. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, refrigerator, range, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. For entertainment, the home offers a TV with DirecTV Basic package and internet service.  Near the back entrance there is a large capacity washer/dryer.

Conveniently Located
Mountain Blessings is located in Bat Cave, North Carolina, but technically has a Hendersonville address due to small post office in Bat Cave that does not offer rural delivery. This home is conveniently located for day trips to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Hendersonville, Asheville and surrounding areas!

Mountain Blessings is everything it is advertised to be. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The drive up to the cabin for a family of Florida crackers was very scary.

It was a great experience.
The drive up to the house is a little intense, especially while its raining. The view is so very worth it though. Will definitely come back. The view is AMAZING.

Thank you very much for all your help since the first moment to book this house, Valerie was great answer my questions and help me with with everything. Always making us feel welcome and very safe.
My family had a absolutely BLESSING Time, we really feel that was our Mountain Home. Our dog had a blast walking safety around the house. we had a magical time on that beautiful front yard with a bonfire and looking thousands of stars. I cooked dinner every night and enjoy myself looking at my family smile and have fun. On top of that we visit Chimney Rock - AMAZING, family walk and blessings from the waterfall. A memory that will make us smile forever. Thank you very much.

The Carolina Properties team was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and helpful, and always available.
We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Blessings very much. It was a wonderful start to our vacation. Cabin was very nice with a beautiful view. If a group or family wants to get away from it all this is the place to do it. The cabin is very isolated and peaceful. Not very near any activities except hiking. But again VERY peaceful and beautiful. Asheville was about a 40 minute drive. Henderson about 30 minutes. It rained the last day and a half of our stay and entertainment was limited with basic cable channels. Lots of board games were available at the cabin. The lane to get to the cabin was quite an experience! Definitely arrive during daylight hours your first visit. We would stay at this property again and hope for less rain.

We had a pleasant experience, nice properties to pick from.
Great place cant wait to go back. We stayed here for a week in April. Wonderful home with everything you need to have a great visit. Close to Chimney Rock, Hendersonville and many other sites. Great view of the mountains especially in the morning when it is quite and the fog is lifting. Just beautiful. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and just sitting on the front porch swinging. We will definitely go back.

Conveniently Located

In addition to all Mountain Blessings has to offer, it is just 6 miles from the Lake Lure beach and Chimney Rock State Park and Village. Lake Lure was ranked by National Geographic as one of the top scenic lakes in the world. There are water sport rental options (kayaks, wake boards, boats, etc.) and pontoon tours of the lake.

The iconic Chimney Rock, for which the village and State Park were named, was featured on Arthur Frommer's Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Budget Travel magazine. The park received the platinum award for Favorite State Park in Blue Ridge Country’s 2013 Best of the Mountains travel poll, with voting every five years and covering seven southern states in the Appalachian Mountains. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby, including Apple Valley Golf Course, Bald Mountain Golf Course, and Etowah Valley Country Club and Golf Resort, which Golf Digest rated as one of the top 50 golf destinations in the US.

This home is centrally located just minutes from Bat Cave; 20 minutes from Hendersonville; 30 minutes from Asheville; and about 1.5 hours from Charlotte, North Carolina. Also nearby are Pisgah National Forest (less an 1 hour from Lake Lure), which has over 500,000 acres of protected forest, and DuPont State Recreational Forest (1.25 hours from Lake Lure) with over 10,000 acres. These forests feature hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and horse trails, exquisite waterfalls, and beautiful mountaintop views. If you and/or your children are fans of The Hunger Games book and movie, a scene with Katniss and Gale was shot at the Pisgah National Forest. A few small but significant scenes were also filmed at the DuPont State Recreational Forest.

The Columbus, Mill Spring, Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area is conveniently situated for outdoor adventure including horseback riding, tubing, water sports, and hiking; museums and theater; the Biltmore Estate, Winery, and Village; shopping and restaurants; and so much more. See our Local Area Guide for additional information.
