Breathtaking Splendor
There is a saying that automatically brings this home to mind: Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away. The splendor of this bountiful landscape is boundless and breathtaking!

Guests have called the views therapeutic. This is a retreat you will not want to leave. When you do, it is one you and your family (four-legged family members welcome) will long to return to again and again, no matter the season. This mountain home is 33 miles from Linville Caverns, 52 miles from Grandfather Mountain State Park and the Mile High Swinging Bridge, 19.3 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, 20.6 miles to Chimney Rock State Park, and 27.7 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).

A Therapeutic Recharge
Whether it is to get away for a long weekend (there is a 3-night minimum stay) or relaxing vacation , just step inside Mountain Moments and you will feel your stress melt away. The wall of windows, stone fireplace, and hardwood walls and floors of the great room give an instant feeling of warmth and comfort. Just imagine enjoying a gorgeous sunset while relaxing in front of a blazing fire. Dine indoors or in the mountain air on stone patio (gas grill) with a fire pit to keep you warm. This is also a perfect spot for your morning coffee or tea; just have a seat on the stone wall.

With All the Comforts of Home
With three spacious bedrooms, a loft sleeping area, and two (2) full baths, there is ample room for seven (7) guests. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker, and a variety of small appliances. In the hall is a stacked washer/dryer. For entertainment, the home offers a TV with DirecTV Classic Silver package and 200 channels; VCR/DVD and selection of movies; a stereo with an iPod connection; and internet service (no streaming, gaming or downloads).

Everything was perfect the cabin is great fully stocked everything you might need is there. The only glitch in our stay was we ordered firewood and it was delivered as promised but it was wet and we had to go buy an ax to break it down into smaller pieces in order to get it to burn This was not a deal breaker. Didnt affect or stay in the least Everything else was absolutely amazing.

Ashley was very friendly and knew the ins and outs of the property. What we saw online was even better in person. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

You all were so friendly and accommodating. I cannot thank you enough for being so prompt and helpful with all of our questions and needs.
The pictures did not do this property justice. The view was incredible, and the house was beautiful. There was a small drop in the bedroom upstairs on our last day, and I believe it may have been the AC unit. I would check just in case! You guys are the best and we will certainly be back! The property was immaculate. The view was absolutely amazing, and the house had everything you could possibly need for a perfect weekend with family and friends.

Only had email interaction, but it was fine. Efficient.
We loved the property and would like to use it again. The only knock against the property was being asked to pay a cleaning fee AND being expected to tote trash off the property several miles away (or face a fine). Five stars but for that.

Didn't have much contact with the team but the little contact we did have was excellent!
The property was lovely and so clean and well-maintained! The view was fabulous and it was really quiet and peaceful at night! One of the adirondack chairs by the fire pit is broken but that was OK because we didn't need to use that one. I also want to apologize for leaving the sodas in the refrigerator and the boxes of muffins on the rail near where you park your car. I took the muffin boxes out of the car to make room for the sodas and then got distracted helping my mom into the car and drove off without either one. I feel especially bad about the muffins because I left them outside and that is not what you want to do in an area with a lot of wildlife. Sorry about that! One other note, there was a super friendly kitten that showed up on our second day. She is not feral so I'm assuming she was either dumped or she is owned by someone else in the area. She tried to get into the house a few times but most of the time she just hung out on the deck. Some guests may be put off by a stray hanging around and I guess there is always a risk she could contract some kind of illness. She's really nice so maybe someone could take her to the local SPCA or rescue organization.

I didn't have a chance to meet any of them in person due to the time schedule of the stay. I met the gal who cleaned the place and she was very nice, hospitable, and non-intrusive as we made our way out the door. Thank you all for the support throughout our stay.
The Mountain Moments cabin was incredible! This was an opportunity to reunite with a group of Paratroopers who all served together! 20 years had passed and this was the perfect setting for all of us to reconnect, tell stories, share memories, and rekindle the true brotherhood that exists among soldiers! We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the hospitality and amenities! Terry, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY! Without brave people like you we wouldn't be here today.

Valerie was very responsive when we reported the power outage issue. When it was discovered the outage was at the house and not due to weather, she didn't hesitate to offer us a credit. My preference was to stay an extra day and she made that happen without issue. I was completely satisfied.
My family has stayed at many rental properties over the years. It was unanimous that Mountain Moments was everyone's favorite. The house is perfect in every way.

Everything was wonderful except the wifi was not working hardly at all, the upstairs shower head had no water pressure, and the place we had to take our trash to was several miles away from the cabin. Loved the views and the feeling of being right at home from the time we arrived!!!
