Location, Location, Location
With this home, location has to be discussed first. It offers, from its front porch, a direct view of Chimney Rock, the iconic feature of Chimney Rock State Park. The chimney was featured on Arthur Frommer's Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Budget Travel magazine, and the park received the platinum award for Favorite State Park in Blue Ridge Country’s 2013 Best of the Mountains travel poll, with voting every five years and covering seven southern states in the Appalachian Mountains. This home is 2/10 mile from Chimney Rock State Park, 1.7 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, and 20.1 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).

The entrance to the park is just two blocks from this home. The restaurants and quaint shops of Chimney Rock Village are just around the block. At the home, you can even hear the sounds of the picturesque, trout-filled Rocky Broad. There are plenty of places to fish at the river and a boardwalk to enjoy the beauty.

If you enjoy scenic drives, head out of Chimney Rock Village on the scenic and curvy Alt US-74 (Memorial Highway). This stretch of highway in the Hickory Nut Gorge has 14 hairpin turns and runs through Bat Cave, Gerton, Fairview. Continue on toward Asheville to pick up what many consider the most beautiful length of road in this country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you have not traveled any stretch of this road, it is something to add to your bucket list. Actor Norman Reedus of The Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead fame, featured the parkway on a 2016 episode of his AMC TV series Ride with Norman (Appalachia: Blue Ridge Parkway, Season 1 Episode 3). Just 1.25 hours from the home and five miles off the parkway is Maggie Valley, home to the Wheels Through Time transportation museum that features rare American motorcycles, memorabilia, and a distinct array of unique one-off American automobiles.

This home also boasts a small attached garage. The garage, along with paved roads in the area, proximity to the curves of Memorial Highway, and the beauty of Blue Ridge Parkway, make this home perfect for those riding motorcycles.

Comfort and Value
Additionally, this Chimney Rock vacation rental home offers accommodations for 4, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, at a fantastic value. It is furnished with high-quality and comfortable leather sofa and chair in the living room; unique, locally crafted pieces throughout the home; as well as some antiques. The homeowners personally selected and placed each item as though they occupied the home full time, with your comfort in mind.

Enjoy the view and sounds of nature from the comfortable resin Adirondack-style chairs. At the rear of the home are a stone patio, picnic table, and gas grill offering the perfect setting for enjoying a meal outdoors. The NASA memory foam mattresses, the 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, refreshing mountain air, and soothing Rocky Broad rushing waters will bring you back again and again just for the relaxing sleep!

Perfect for Every Season
With the area's temperate climate and beauty, this home can be enjoyed throughout the year. Plus, there is so much to do in this area and in the surrounding communities. Check out the Amenities and Notes for a sampling of what is available.
Just pack your clothes, head on over, and then sit back, relax, and enjoy all Chimney View and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. We look forward to you being our guest!

Valerie was great to work with. We had a problem with the door code and were able to reach Dathan (not sure if Im spelling correctly) who was able to get us a new code, and was also helpful with the WiFi. Excellent communication, very easy to work with.
We enjoyed our stay. As I mentioned on my direct Airbnb note, the floor around the toilet is very spongy and needs to be looked at. I know theres a warning about the grills on your site, but the guts of the grill at this property are broken and rusting out. We were able to use one burner, but not well. When they go on sale in the fall, its time to get a new one. Thanks! Great place to stay, fabulous location, great view. Clean and comfortable home.

A wide selection of homes and each one has its own feel and uniqueness. Plus each one looks well kept and cleaned.
Enjoy the time we stayed in the cabin. The whole family loved the look and feel of the place. Even the area around the home was quiet and looked beautiful during the autumn months.

Thank you Carolina Properties for a wonderful rental experience. We appreciated the online communication for convenience and the information you provided us about our property and our stay at Lake Lure. Everything being handled online was very convenient for a busy family. The electronic key was also nice, not having to make arrangements for after hours pickup.
We enjoyed our stay at Chimney View. The cabin had plenty of room, was quiet, yet walking distance to town for activities, and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The cabin was clean with lots of room and centrally located. We like to walk to town for activities.

We all loved Chimney View. It was very quaint and fit our needs to a T. Close to restaurants and attractions. Very little traffic on street-extremely quiet. Loved having a garage. Only negative comments are the bathtub drained slowly and mattresses needed a upgrade. Thanks for a great Lake Lure stay!!

The house was GREAT. Easy to find and great location. Of course we had HORRIBLE weather the entire time - which of course no one can predict mother nature! :) We checked out just in time on Tuesday as to not get caught in any of the flooding and mud slides etc. Thanks so much.

Very quick to respond to questions and calls. Very friendly and easy to work with. A great experience! We had a great experience, everything was clearly laid out as far as directions to the home and what items were at the home. The response time to my questions and calls was fantastic! We would definitely trust our vacation plans with Carolina Properties.
It was a perfect fit for our short weekend stay with our young family. Great location to town with an easy walk to town and a fantastic view. It was quiet and clean. The only downfall was not a lot of usable outside space.

Carolina Properties is the bomb. I was contacted by staff on my way up and we had a chance to go over check-in and the acquisition of keys to ensure I had no hassle. The minute problem of limited parking was solved with a quick phone call. Very professional folks. And on the ball to boot.
Would stay again. WIsh I had a better view of the outside though. Not for seniors. The stairs are steep. Please take care of the mosquito problem. They are vicious.

This home is located in a beautiful area with a GREAT view of Chimney Rock. It is well equipped with very comfortable furniture...especially the beds! It is tastefully decorated and our family was very comfortable. The high speed internet was appreciated although I kept asking myself why I was on the internet and not enjoying the natural beauty? Each evening about 10 deer were grazing next door...absolutely beautiful! The location is great. A few minutes to the entrance of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure about a mile away. The price was right our opinion, this rental was a great value!
The transaction with the property manager was seamless. This home was everything it was advertised to be. We loved our stay and will return again! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

My stay at Chimney View was a fabulous experience. The cabin was clean, tastefully decorated, and very well maintained. The natural wood paneling, flooring, and cabinetry were beautiful. The location was perfect for the wedding festivities I attended at Laughing Waters Retreat in Gerton on Fri-Sun, shopping at Manual Woodworkers outlet in Gerton and enjoying the beautiful Flowering Bridge at Lake Lure. I will return and would recommend the property to family and friends.
