The house is gorgeous - very spacious with a beautiful view. Each bedroom has a comfortable, homey feel. The home is very clean and well maintained. Our family enjoyed our time so much we are already planning our next trip up there.
The Mohican has a perfect view with a perfect location. It has a beautiful view of Chimney Rock with a short walk into the city of Chimney Rock.

Very friendly and easy to communicate with.
The property was in a beautiful location and the house very clean. The only negative was that both queen beds upstairs were terribly uncomfortable. They were hard as rock and the pillows incredibly flat. Otherwise everything was wonderful!

Valerie was quick to respond and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping accommodate us. Thanks! We worked with Carolina Properties through Airbnb. We booked the night before, as we were evacuating the coast for Hurricane Florence. I got a quick response and they were so helpful and understanding. They were even able to get my family in the property a few hours early, which was much needed with a fussy 5 month old!
We had a great stay at Mohicans Landing. Everything in the home was clean and the kitchen is well-stocked. Our only complaint was that the grill was left unusable by previous renters. The house was beautiful! It had so much space to offer, with entertainment like puzzles, ping pong, billiards and right on the river! I was even able to curl up with a book in front of the fireplace one evening. The boys did some fishing right in the backyard and then we went to the #1 Winery in North Carolina, just 2 minutes from the house. Chimney Rock was unfortunately closed due to the pending storm, but we were still able to find hiking nearby. The house is wonderful, but this one really benefits from an amazing location.

The Carolina property staff are amazing and help you with the process in renting your vacation home with ease. They are just amazing and they get back with you in a timely manner.
Mohicans Landing is amazing. It's a dream vacation with your family and friends. We created so many memories for our children and families. The house was so beautiful and the children had their own space to relax in the bunk bed area it was just amazing. We did get a visitor that dragged our trash and took the cans in the woods and I thank my husband for cleaning the area and going down in the woods to get the cans. That was very exciting to us and we will be talking about that for years to come. AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! That's all I have to say. Book your trip now!! The house and location was just beautiful. The space was so great! We could all cook in the kitchen and not get into anyone's space. We would like for our friends and colleague's to create memories at this beautiful home.

Mohicans Landing is an absolutely beautiful home with so much space. We are a family of 8 and it provides more than enough room for all of us. The area is so convenient to everything that we enjoy doing. The views and sounds from the back deck are amazing. The team members were very quick to respond to any questions I had. Everything regarding the house was as advertised on their website.
The House was beautiful. It was very spacious. We had four families stay and their was still enough room. We played tons of rounds of ping pong and enjoyed listening to the creek on the balcony when it wasnt too cold. The view was amazing! We could see Chinney rock from the house. We even got to see some turkeys crossing the street. I hope to bring my family back during the summer to enjoy all the water activities since it was too cold this visit.

Thanks for all your help. Great experience. Will book a future stay. We really enjoyed our experience and help with setting up our reservation. Especially the later check out!
Fantastic vacation spot. Easily one of the top rental properties I've ever stayed at.
Will be back and want to book again. This house is amazing. Everything you could ask for and more. I only gave a 9 based on lack of hot tub and outdoor fire pit, as most houses this size have 1 or both.

Mohican's Landing is about 2 minutes from the Lake Lure beach and Chimney Rock State Park and village. Lake Lure was ranked by National Geographic Magazine as one of the top scenic lakes in the world. There are water sport rental options (kayaks, wake boards, boats, etc.) and pontoon tours of the lake.
The iconic Chimney Rock, for which the village and State Park were named, was featured on Arthur Frommer's Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Budget Travel magazine. The park received the platinum award for Favorite State Park in Blue Ridge Country’s 2013 Best of the Mountains travel poll, with voting every five years and covering seven southern states in the Appalachian Mountains. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby, including Apple Valley Golf Course, Bald Mountain Golf Course, and Etowah Valley Country Club and Golf Resort, which Golf Digest rated as one of the top 50 golf destinations in the US.
This beautiful home is centrally located just 5 minutes from Bat Cave; 20 minutes from Hendersonville; 30 minutes from Asheville; and about 1.5 hours from Charlotte, North Carolina. Also nearby are Pisgah National Forest (less an 1 hour from Lake Lure), which has over 500,000 acres of protected forest, and DuPont State Recreational Forest (1.25 hours from Lake Lure) with over 10,000 acres. These forests feature hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and horse trails, exquisite waterfalls, and beautiful mountaintop views. If you and/or your children are fans of The Hunger Games book and movie, a scene with Katniss and Gale was shot at the Pisgah National Forest. A few small but significant scenes were also filmed at the DuPont State Recreational Forest.
If you enjoy scenic drives, head out of Lake Lure on Alt 74 (curvy and scenic Memorial Highway) through Chimney Rock Village, Bat Cave, Gerton, Fairview, toward Asheville to pick up what many consider the most beautiful length of road in this country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you have not traveled this stretch of road, it is something to add to your bucket list. Actor Norman Reedus of The Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead fame, featured the parkway on a 2016 episode of his AMC TV series Ride with Norman (Appalachia: Blue Ridge Parkway, Season 1 Episode 3). Just 1.25 hours from the home and five miles off the parkway is Maggie Valley, home to the Wheels Through Time transportation museum that features rare American motorcycles, memorabilia, and a distinct array of unique one-off American automobiles.
The Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area is conveniently situated for an outdoor adventure including horseback riding, tubing, water sports, and hiking; museums and theater; the Biltmore Estate and Village; shopping and restaurants; and so much more.
